INFANT ROOM
YES, WE DO HAVE BABY FEVER
We take the business of babies very seriously here. The lead teacher in the infant room spends one on one time with each and every cooing baby that enters the room. They focus on working on your sweet baby's milestones and are sure to give them the extra attention they need every step of the way.

Some things our teachers and aids in the infant room will focus on with your precious bundle of joy:
-
Milestone achievements (such as tummy time, sitting up, holding bottles, and crawling)
-
Stimulation and learning activities
-
Developing and nurturing routines for feeding, sleeping, and understanding the concept of what comes next

Our infant room staff are dedicated to strong communication with families and will be sure to provide regular and consistent daily updates about your child's development as well as their changing needs and personality. We use an application called Brightwheel to ensure regular, real-time updates.

All of our classrooms are outfitted with an ample supply of age-appropriate toys and activities. We use the Department of Human Services recommended supplies list as a guide.

INFANT ROOM INTAKE PROCESS
We pride ourselves in our parent tours, paired with informational sessions for new families. We make sure to offer important information about some big topics such as nutrition, rest, safety and supervision, and staff training as part of the many topics we discuss during routine information sessions with new or prospective families. Additionally, if you are expecting a newborn, and especially if this is your first child, we know that you may have more questions to ask. We also recognize that you may not know what questions to ask yet. Our job is to offer you topics that we believe will be very informative for you. Our newborn information intake sessions are typically broken into 3 parts

SUIDS AND AHT TRAINING
All Cuddle Bugs staff learn about the importance of safe sleep and safe infant care. Every staff takes initial and annual training on the dangers of SUIDS Sudden Unexpected Infant Death Syndrome (formally referred to as SIDS) and AHT Abusive Head Trauma (commonly referred to as Shaken Baby Syndrome). We think it is essential that all parents and caregivers watch these informative videos to fully understand the importance of safe infant sleep and care.

WE UNDERSTAND THAT EVERY INFANT GROWS AND LEARNS DIFFERENTLY AND WE CAREFULLY AND THOUGHTFULLY CARE FOR THEM BASED ON THEIR INDIVIDUAL PERSONALITY.

During your initial tour and information session, we introduce you to the infant staff and encourage you to ask any questions to the loving staff that will care for your little one. We then review important parts of the infant program and show you examples of our Brightwheel communication application which helps parents feel connected to their newborn’s day even while working. We take the time to be sure we have answered any questions that are important to your new growing family. We also outline how you can support our staff to give your child loving care that best fit’s your family's needs.
We schedule a quick visit after the baby is born, but before your start date, to drop off supplies, meet and greet the teachers again and ask relevant questions before you start, and finalize any necessary paperwork. This allows you to check any boxes off your first day “to do” list so that we help you rest at ease feeling prepared for the new chapter of your life; starting childcare and returning to work.

On your baby’s first days of childcare, we offer a quick drop off which is sometimes easier or invite you to come and stay in the infant room briefly before your workday begins to allow you and your baby to slowly acclimate to your new schedule. We know this is a big day for most parents and we want you to feel comfortable and confident in your baby's care.
